Israel Are Preparing A Large-Scale Massacre Like Nothing We've Seen So Far
Israel declares Gaza City residents combatants, putting hundred of thousands of people at direct risk of murder

In Gaza City, where the streets are already reduced to rubble and the air carries the constant thrum of drones overhead, Israel has now declared that the people who remain will be considered combatants, half a million residents told in one sweeping announcement that their civilian status no longer exists, their lives are now open to being ended by Israel’s military classification. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued the warning, as if it had legitimacy, but the move breaks a number of international laws, laws that Israel has summarily dismissed over the length of their existence as a state.
The population of Gaza City is cornered, and to make matters worse, Israel has shut down the main road out of the city, forcing anyone wishing to leave to take the same southbound route, clogging routes and preventing exit for a large number. Many cannot leave even if they want to, the elderly who cannot walk, the sick who cannot travel, families who have nowhere left to go, children who cannot cross the miles of checkpoints and destruction. Not all of these people are choosing to stay, they are trapped, and yet the government that controls the bombs circling above them has now declared them all enemies on their murder list. And now, Israel has given the green light to massacre all of them.
In the language of law and diplomacy, there is supposed to be a distinction between fighters and civilians, a line that separates combatants from those who are not part of the war. Israel has moved that line time and again, now erasing it entirely for Gaza City.
The move does very little to give confidence to those who back Trump’s flawed “peace plan,” as a country who is truly dedicated to a peace process would not make a threat of this scale before the other party had even responded. The deal already gives Israel the plausible deniability to move ahead with their genocide, should Hamas reject. But it seems Israel are not willing to wait for such an eventuality to play out.
The people of Gaza City are currently at direct risk of death, the ceasefire is already dead, and the media are proving to be buried, as the “peace plan” continues to escape scrutiny from most outlets.
